The deputy office of commercial and airport services is one of the three principal components of Aseman Airlines. This office is made up of three divisions:Ticket sales, airport services and cargo handling unit.
The most noteworthy tasks and achievements by the office of commercial and airport services, which have contributed significantly to the overall development of the Aseman Airlines, are as follows:
Improvement in quality and increase in the frequency of some of the company's domestic flights to south and southwestern parts of the country such those to Asseluyeh, IIam, Shiraz and Bojnourd . Elimination of Central Asian routes and destinations from the national fleet services in order to do them on composite or mixed basis through the Kyrghyz Airlines. Altering the TehranMashhad-Kabul flight route into MashhadKabul-Mashhad with the aim of lowering marginal costs. Commissioning of a flight information database at Mashhad and Shiraz bases. Sustained control, supervision and updating of the incoming data fed to flight information database from various destinations. Sharing the services of the flight information database with recognized international aviation associations. Securing the 32nd rank on a global scale in doing successful regional flights. The above are not the only account of the achievements of the office of commerce and airport services.
There are others as follows:
Improved application of the aircraft and flight crew's service time, particularly at airports geared to day-time service Implementation of field studies by the company's coordination and commercial studies unit with the aim of improving efficiency. Expanding flight network to encompass most domestic routes . Expanding the flight network up to 195 flights to 27 destinations.
Maintaining flight seat occupancy rate in spite of the increase in the number of seats made available. Sustained control and feedback of the flight network's daily conditions, particularly from Tehran as the origin. Supervision of the reservation process done by affiliated agencies. Establishment of a unit whose tasked in rules and regulations pertaining to reservation and its coordination . Application of flight network control and coordination, a flight information data base and a flight scheduling system.
The commercial and airport services division's other achievements are listed below:
sales agencies' performance assessment and ranking. Authorization on 35 new sales representative outlets in Tehran, and 30 others in other parts of the country . Compilation and notification of sales rules and regulations and tariffs. Issuance of Aseman Airlines' bonds in accordance with lATA standards. Relegation of telephonebased sales to the Tehran-based GSA Gulf Agency. Setting up of an automated tariff system for Aseman . Providing updated information on passengers to Arman catering company to insure improved catering service. Construction of an Xray/weighing equipment at Tehran's Mehrabad international airport's cargo division. Commissioning of cargo services representative offices at Sanandaj, Yasuj, Ardabil and Rafsanjan . Renovation of Mehrabad airport's cargo terminal No.6. Automation and modernization of domestic cargo handling services.
